Do you want to connect with someone but don't want to share your phone number and email address?

Connect - Connect and Build Team

This is entirely possible thanks to the Connect mechanism on SOC Connect, where every connection starts with just one unique link!

Connect - Connect and Build Team

📌 To share a personal account:

1️⃣ Click on the pencil icon in the bottom right corner, select “Start Chat”.

2️⃣ Press “Invite friends to SOC Connect”, copy this link and send it to your friends.

📌 Here you can also directly connect with other people if you know their full username:

1️⃣ Enter everything in the search box, including the @ sign at the beginning and the server address information at the end.

2️⃣ When the correct username appears, press add.

3️⃣ Press “Start” and a private conversation will open immediately.

👉🏻 No need for a phone number. No need for an email address. Just one link or username is enough to connect, quickly and safely for both parties.

📌 Additionally, you can also create private rooms or community rooms simply by:

1️⃣ Click on the pencil icon in the bottom right corner, select “Create Room”.

2️⃣ Fill in the necessary information and choose the type of room that suits your needs.

3️⃣ Press “Create”.

👉🏻 But note that if you choose the “Private Room” type, only those invited will be able to find and join. In contrast, anyone can find and join a “Public Room”.

Importantly, regardless of the type of room chosen, once you decide to enable encryption, it cannot be turned off. This feature ensures that all data sent in the chat room is securely encrypted. Suitable when you want to create a chat room for work exchanges or internal issues…

👉🏻 For the “Public Room” type, since it is an open space created for public purposes such as sharing information or marketing, the number of participants will often be very large.

Therefore, you should disable encryption, as there will be many people in the community who are not tech-savvy. Some members may log into the account but may not validate the device due to forgetting the Recovery Key. And if you enable encryption, they will not be able to read the message content in the group.

👉🏻 Do not forget to enable the “Show in room in directory” option so that your room is publicly displayed, allowing users to search and join easily.

“Public Room” also allows you to set your own “Address” according to your preference, with a hashtag at the beginning followed by the room name you want to set and the server address information.

📌 To invite additional members, you can click on the room name → select “Share” → copy this link and send it to anyone.

📌 You can also add other members to the room with their username by:

1️⃣ Click on the room name and select the “Members”.

2️⃣ Click on the add members icon in the bottom right corner.

3️⃣ Enter the full username of the user you want to invite to the room.

4️⃣ Click on the plus sign and confirm “Invite”.

Whether connecting with friends, creating private groups, or even building an entire community, SOC Connect still ensures that all chat spaces are under the user's control.

The end-to-end encryption mode will always be enabled by default to protect conversations, but you can completely turn it off when creating a room if you want to make things easier for community purposes.

👉🏻 At SOC Connect, you have full authority to decide where to ensure absolute security and where a convenient connection is sufficient.

📌 Remember: “PRIVATE - LOCK IT, COMMUNITY - OPEN IT!”.
