Do you want to connect with someone but don’t want to share your phone number or email address?

Connect - Connect and Build Teams

This is completely possible thanks to the Connect feature on SOC Connect - where every connection starts with just a single link!

Connect - Connect and Build Teams

📌 To share your personal account:

1️⃣ Tap the pencil icon in the bottom right corner and select “Start Chat”.

2️⃣ Tap “Invite friends to SOC Connect”, copy the link, and send it to your friends.

📌 Here, you can also connect directly with others if you know their full username:

1️⃣ Enter everything into the search box, including the @ at the beginning and the server address at the end.

2️⃣ When the exact username appears, tap the plus icon.

3️⃣ Tap “Start” and your private conversation will open instantly.

👉🏻 No phone number, no email address, just a link or username is enough to connect, quickly and securely for both parties.

📌 Additionally, you can easily create private rooms or community rooms by:

1️⃣ Tap the pencil icon in the bottom right corner and select “Create Room”.

2️⃣ Fill in the required information and choose the type of room that suits your needs.

3️⃣ Tap “Create”.

👉🏻 But keep in mind, if you choose “Private Room”, only those invited can find and join it. In contrast, anyone can find and join a “Public Room”.

Importantly, regardless of the room type, once you enable encryption, it cannot be turned off. This feature ensures that all data sent in the chat room is securely encrypted, making it ideal for discussions about work or internal matters…

👉🏻 For “Public Room”, since they are open spaces created for public purposes such as sharing information or marketing, the number of participants is usually very large.

Therefore, you should disable encryption, since many members in the community may not be tech-savvy. Some might log into their accounts but fail to verify their devices due to forgetting their Recovery Key. If encryption is enabled, they won’t be able to read the messages in the group.

👉🏻 Don’t forget to enable the “Show in room directory” option so your room is publicly visible, allowing users to easily find and join.

“Public Room” also allow you to set a “Address” of your choice, using a hashtag at the beginning followed by your desired room name and the server address information.

📌 To invite additional members, tap the room name → select “Share” → copy the link and send it to anyone.

📌 You can also add other members to the room using their username by:

1️⃣ Tap the room name and select ”Members”.

2️⃣ Tap the add member icon in the bottom right corner.

3️⃣ Enter the full username of the user you want to invite to the room.

4️⃣ Tap the plus icon and confirm by selecting “Invite”.

Whether connecting with friends, creating a private group, or even building an entire community, SOC Connect ensures that every chat space remains under the user’s control.

The end-to-end encryption will always be enabled by default to protect conversations, but you can disable it when creating a room if you prefer more flexibility for community purposes.

👉🏻 At SOC Connect, you have full control to decide which spaces require absolute security and which ones just need convenient connectivity.

📌 Remember: “PRIVATE - LOCK IT, COMMUNITY - OPEN IT!”.
