You don’t need to sit next to each other; you can still communicate safely with SOC Connect thanks to the Verify feature, which helps verify digital identities and ensures that only the "true owner" can read the message content.

The safest way to communicate is when the people really involved sit together in a closed room, where no one else can interrupt. There are no listening devices, no prying eyes, just insiders who already trust each other.

Some people even choose to talk in a sauna, where they wear only a towel and can’t bring any devices with them. In that moment, all risks of eavesdropping from the outside are completely eliminated, and the conversation returns to its true nature - absolute trust between those involved.

But in real life and work, it’s impossible to always meet face-to-face. If every discussion required going out to meet in person, it would be extremely inconvenient. Meanwhile, communicating through insecure online channels carries a very real risk of impersonators slipping in unnoticed.

👉🏻 That’s exactly why SOC Connect was developed with the verify feature for digital identity verification, ensuring every online connection becomes as safe and trustworthy as a face-to-face conversation.

✅ When verification takes place, both parties will match with each other to ensure that the messages received come from the other person’s actual device, and that only they can read the content.

❌ If you see a black shield icon displayed next to the conversation name, it means the verify process has not yet been completed.

👉🏻 Tap on the conversation name and go to “X Members” → select the person you want to verify → then choose “Verify” and “Start Verification”.

There are two extremely simple ways to verify:

1️⃣ Scan the QR code displayed on the other person's device.

2️⃣ Or you can select “Can’t Scan” to switch to comparing the icons displayed on both screens, confirm and complete the process if the sequence matches exactly.

Note, it’s best to perform verification while meeting in person at a secure location!

You only need to verify once, afterward - whenever you communicate using the verified device, you can chat with complete peace of mind.

Of course, some users may choose to verify remotely, but remember - SOC Connect does not recommend doing so!

Because if you want to verify with someone but don't meet them in person, how can you be sure that the person on the other end is the owner?

✅ Right after a successful verification, the shield icon will turn green.

❌ But if you ever see a red shield - be cautious!

Since SOC Connect allows users to log in with the same account on multiple devices, the system continuously checks the authenticity of each device.

If you’ve verified with someone, your connection is considered trusted. However, if that person logs into their account on a new device, they must verify the new device using their previously verified one, this is known as the transitive verification principle.

If this process isn’t completed, it’s highly likely that the account has been compromised!

In addition, SOC Connect also offers an advanced mode specifically for group administrators:

  • Go to “Settings” under “Chat Room Details”.
  • Scroll to the bottom and enable the option “Encrypt to verified sessions only”.

When this feature is enabled, if any group member logs in on an unverified device, that person will be blocked from viewing new messages, while the rest of the members can continue communicating as usual.

👉🏻 That’s the true power of verify, turning every online conversation into one that’s as transparent and trustworthy as a real face-to-face meeting!
